These populations include long term care residents, pregnant women and inmates. Through its 4 projects, the Emory Initiative extended the research findings, tools and work products developed through the Emory Preparedness and Emergency Response Research Center (PERRC) that showed the greatest promise and potential for assisting public health practitioners achieve higher levels of preparedness for their practice partners that serve vulnerable populations.
